If you haven't read Ceane O'Hanlon-Lincoln's COUNTY CHRONICLES, then you haven't discovered how exciting history can be! This award-winning series embraces five volumes, each containing meticulously researched true short stories from Pennsylvania's thrilling past. These are not chronological histories for a reason-- there is a great variety of stories in each volume, and since each story is complete in itself, as is each volume, the reader can skip around within each volume, or from volume to volume to whatever strikes his/her fancy. Both men and women, preteen to seniors, enjoy these stories. The reading level is from about 5th or 6th grade through adult. Each story is short enough to read in one sitting, rendering COUNTY CHRONICLES the perfect fireside/bedside readers. Ceane O'Hanlon-Lincoln breathes life into Pennsylvania's historic figures and events with language that flows and captivates the senses. The books (which, in addition to histories, are travel guides to PA's historic sites and places of interest) are each numbered as collectibles, designed as heirloom books to be kept and passed down in families.
